whoa buddy, follow that one up with an ammonism!

i was reading the scriptures (specifically the Book of Mormon) was reminded of Ammon's tendency to make a statement and then correct himself quickly (for example, "I will show them my power, or the power which is in me..."). Ammon's frequent tendency to do this led to me coining his word-correction as an ammonism. i haven't decided yet if the verb would be "to ammonize". some may point to the fact that Ammon thinks of himself as something and that thoughts of humility are afterthoughts, but one need only go to Alma 26 to find a disclosure of Ammon's thoughts on the subject. i personally think there should be more ammonizing going on and more ammonisms floating in our conversations. so instead of saying, "look at my awesome sprinting skills", we could ammonize and say, "the Lord has blessed me to run fast." we might even resort to second-half-ammonisms (SHAs) and just say the latter construction about how the Lord gives us our strength and power. something to consider.
